We operate within three thematic areas: entrepreneurship (profit), environment and climate change (planet), and inclusion (people), in addition to other areas to support organisational capacity such as leadership, governance and management, financial health, service delivery, lobbying and advocacy. We also address integrated topics, such as digitalisation.

PEOPLE: INCLUSION & GLOBAL CITIZENSHIP

Within our partner organizations in Uganda and Tanzania, we prioritize supporting women, youth, people with disabilities, refugees, and economically underprivileged people, ensuring that no one is left behind. We focus on enhancing the self-confidence, motivation, and self-awareness of these groups and their leaders. We strive to amplify their constructive actions, capabilities and strengths while actively addressing the power relations and dynamics that inhibit their inclusion and meaningful participation in their organisations and broader community. The notion of global citizenship and solidarity is an integral part of our empowerment approach.

PLANET: ENVIRONMENT & climate change

Through collaborative partnerships, we prioritize local climate action and empower our partners to take the lead in strategic planning and implementation. Our strategy centres on the importance of environmental sustainability and resilience, addressing both short-term and long-term challenges posed by climate change. We champion multi-stakeholder solutions and community-driven approaches, striving to cultivate awareness and encourage behavioural change. By implementing innovative initiatives like green financing, agroforestry, and green businesses, our goal is to foster climate-friendly practices, restore land, and facilitate the growth of resilient, sustainable communities.

PROFIT: entrepreneurship

We are dedicated to bolstering entrepreneurship among our partner organizations by facilitating their journey towards financial self-sufficiency. Through tailored capacity-building initiatives, we equip them with the necessary tools to offer comprehensive business development services, facilitate market access, and provide financial solutions to their entrepreneurial members. Our approach is rooted in the belief that creating an environment conducive to equal opportunities is essential for sustainable economic growth. We are committed to actively nurturing and empowering the entrepreneurial spirit, attitudes, and capabilities of the leaders, management, and members within our network of partners.
